Loudpedal captures Austin's intense eyes as he pushes off for his first laps in the Moose Racing/ Huntington Beach Glass/Lucas Oil Center's 360 at Ventura Speedway. Not really knowing what to expect power wise out of the 360 ... Austin as he pulled in from hot laps " WOW".
Sliding into a transfer in the 1st Heat, it was on to the
Main Event - and boy oh boy did the crew make a bunch of changes to get the Triple XXX handling the way Austin likes. Running in 4th and with basically no passing happening Austin careened the car to the top side of track... but there was no grip up there and around he went. Back to the back, restart and several cars right in front of him jiggled and jaggled and Lord only knows how he missed plowing into them. But with that, and the fact the only way to move forward was by others dropping out - Austin made the perfect decision and just pulled in. No need to crunch up the car, the purpose was to dial in "a set up " that would work for him, should the team decide to run the ever coveted Turkey Night.
