When a new team is formed over the off season, you never really know how it's all gonna jive - but, Wow, did the Moose Team with Austin at the wheel, surpass anyone's expectations.
Coming into the busiest part of the schedule from California Sprint week on, the wik was turned up and Austin moved the Moose 92 sprinter into 2nd in points for the USAC/CRA Championship. Wins at The Louie Vermeil Classic & Glen Howard Memorial, 2 Quick times, a couple 2nd & 3rd's had everyone chomping at the bit and giving it all we got. With great runs at the Oval Nationals, the point spread was down to 41 after Friday night - Damion added to his point chase Saturday night, seeing the 92, 59 points behind going into the Final Races at The Western World in San Tan Arizona. Unfortunately, he gained a few more points - making him the USAC/CRA Champion Again --- congrats to Damion and the entire Alexander Team. Closing out the year 2nd in points is still stellar for again, this 1st year package with Austin.
